The Champro 8-Helmet Fence-Hanging Carry Bag (E21B) is a dual-purpose helmet organization and transport bag built for coaches, equipment managers, and programs at every level of baseball and softball who need a fast, organized way to keep eight batting helmets accessible in the dugout during games and practices and a compact, easy-carry solution for getting them to and from the field. J-hooks mount the bag directly on the dugout fence so every helmet is visible, labeled, and ready to grab by position in the lineup, and when the game is over the entire bag rolls into a compact carry case with an adjustable shoulder strap for fast, effortless transport. Available in black at SPC Sports.

J-hooks on the back of the bag attach directly to standard dugout fence rails and position all eight helmets at an accessible height for players to grab and return without bending down, searching the bench, or digging through a separate helmet bag between at-bats -- keeping the dugout organized and the lineup moving at game speed from the first inning to the last out.

Eight individual mesh pockets each hold a single batting helmet with or without an attached face mask, so every helmet in the dugout lineup has its own dedicated pocket that keeps it visible, protected from scratches, and immediately accessible throughout the game without helmets stacking on top of each other or getting mixed up between players.

The mesh pocket construction allows full airflow around each stored helmet, so helmets dry out naturally during and after games instead of staying sealed in a closed compartment where sweat and moisture accumulate and create odor buildup over the course of a long season.

After the final out the bag rolls up into a compact carry case and the two straps buckle together to secure the rolled position, transforming the fence-hanging helmet display into a self-contained carrying unit that stores efficiently in an equipment room, van, or storage closet without the bulk of an unrolled flat bag.

The adjustable shoulder strap lets you carry all eight helmets hands-free across the parking lot, to and from the field, and between practice stations, with the adjustable length accommodating different carriers and carry preferences without requiring any hardware modifications.

Durable 150D nylon fabric delivers the structural backing and weather resistance needed for outdoor use through a full season of regular game and practice deployment at fences of different rail sizes and configurations without tearing, fraying, or losing its hook stability under a full load of eight helmets.

At just 1.92 lbs empty the E21B adds minimal dead weight to your equipment load even when fully packed with eight helmets, so carrying a full roster's batting helmet supply between the equipment room and the field stays manageable for a single person.

This product comes with a 1 Year Manufacturer Warranty.

    FAQ

How does the fence-hanging system work? J-hooks on the back of the bag attach to a standard dugout fence rail, positioning all eight helmet pockets at an accessible height for players to grab and return helmets quickly throughout the game without bending down or digging through a separate container.

Do the mesh pockets fit helmets with face masks attached? Yes. Each individual mesh pocket is sized to hold a batting helmet with or without an attached face mask, so you do not need to remove face masks before storing helmets in the bag before or after games.

How does the bag convert from fence display to carry bag? After games and practices, the bag rolls up into a compact carry unit and the two straps buckle together to secure the rolled position. The adjustable shoulder strap then lets you carry all eight helmets hands-free between the field and your equipment storage location.

FAQs

  • It depends on how much gear you carry. A backpack suits individual players bringing a bat, glove, and helmet to a regular game or practice. A duffel holds more total gear for players who carry extra equipment or change of clothes. A wheeled bag is the right call for tournament players moving across multiple fields in a day. A catcher bag is designed specifically for the dimensions of protective gear.

  • Most fastpitch backpacks hold one to two bats in external reinforced bat tubes. Some larger models accommodate three bats. The number of bat tubes is listed in the product specs on each product page.

  • For tournament use, prioritize total bat capacity (at least two), a separate ventilated compartment for cleats or wet gear, padded shoulder straps if it is a backpack, reinforced wheel housing if it is a wheeled bag, and a dedicated helmet pocket or wide main compartment. A water bottle holder on the exterior saves time between games.

  • Most youth and adult fastpitch tournaments allow wheeled bags in dugouts. Some turf-only venues restrict certain wheel types to protect the surface. Confirm with your tournament director before your first event of the season.

  • A carry bag is simpler and lighter, typically with a top handle and one or two exterior bat sleeves and minimal interior organization. A backpack distributes weight across both shoulders and usually offers more compartmentalization and storage options. For regular practice use where you are walking long distances from parking, a backpack is more comfortable.

  • Empty the bag completely and shake out loose dirt and debris. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. For fabric interiors, use a stiff brush to remove dried dirt. Let the bag air dry completely before storing or re-packing. Do not machine wash most softball bags, as it weakens stitching, zipper tape, and bat tube reinforcement.

  • Most full-size wheeled bags in the 36 to 42-inch length range can accommodate two bats, a helmet, chest protector, leg guards, a glove, and extra apparel. Check the product dimensions and bat tube length before purchasing to confirm the bag fits your longest bat length (typically 33 to 34 inches for adult players).

  • Yes. We carry bags from Easton, DeMarini, Rawlings, Mizuno, Wilson, Bownet, Marucci, and other brands. Availability varies by season. Use the manufacturer filter on the bags page to browse options by brand.

  • A duffel is a general-use bag with a top-open main compartment and bat sleeves. A catcher bag has wider and often taller dimensions specifically designed to accommodate the bulky, irregular shapes of chest protectors, leg guards, and helmets without requiring the gear to be folded or compressed. If you catch regularly, a catcher bag is a meaningful improvement over a standard duffel.

  • Yes, in most cases. Bag dimensions and bat tube lengths are often similar enough that bags marketed for baseball or slowpitch work fine for fastpitch. The main thing to confirm is bat tube length: most adult fastpitch bats are 32 to 34 inches, so the bat tubes must accommodate at least 34 inches.

  • Most major brands offer a one-year limited warranty covering stitching and zipper defects under normal use. Warranty coverage does not typically include damage from overloading, abrasion, or airline handling. Check the specific product page or contact the manufacturer for brand-specific warranty terms.

  • Fabric durability in bags is partly measured by denier, which describes the thread weight of the material. A 600D polyester bag is entry-level. A 1200D bag is more resistant to tearing and abrasion. 1680D and above is the range for heavy-duty travel use. If you plan to check your bag on team bus trips or travel frequently to tournaments, aim for 1200D or higher.

  • Quality wheeled fastpitch bags typically range from $80 to $200 depending on brand, material, and bat capacity. Entry-level models from brands like Champro start around $80 to $100. Mid-range models from Rawlings or DeMarini run $100 to $150. Premium models from Easton or Marucci are typically $150 to $200+.

  • Wheeled bags are generally better for travel ball because they carry more gear without putting weight on the player's back during long days at the park. Backpacks are fine for local games and practices where the player only carries from the car to the dugout. Many travel ball players use a wheeled bag as their primary bag and a small backpack as a secondary for personal items.

  • There is no single best brand, as it depends on your budget and use case. DeMarini, Easton, and Rawlings are the most consistently reviewed brands for quality and durability across all bag types. Wilson produces strong mid-range options. Bownet bags are well-regarded for their catcher and wheeled options specifically.
