Our Story
It Started with a Problem
Back in 1998, our founder Jesse Temple couldnβt find a decent softball bat in-season. Frustrated, he decided to build the kind of store serious players needed: always stocked, always staffed by players, and always on your side.
The response from Northeast Ohio players was immediate. Word spread quicklyβnot through social media, but through dugouts, bleachers, and backstops. Soon, SPC moved into an 11,000 sq. ft. facility in Mentor, Ohio, complete with a batting cage and space for thousands of bats, gloves, bags, and uniforms.
