More About SPC Sports Baseball Baseballs
The baseball sitting in the pitcher's hand at the start of every inning sets the tone for everything that follows. SPC Sports stocks baseballs from Rawlings, Champro, Worth, and other trusted manufacturers, covering NFHS game balls for high school play, USSSA balls for travel baseball, recreational balls for practice and pickup games, training baseballs for machine use and conditioning drills, and collectible baseballs for display. We sell by the dozen and by the case for teams and leagues.
Shop by Use
NFHS Baseballs carry the National Federation of State High School Associations certification and are required for high school game competition. Most state athletic associations mandate NFHS-stamped balls for all varsity and junior varsity games. Rawlings and Champro both produce NFHS-certified game balls in our catalog. These balls feature a full-grain leather cover, cushioned cork and rubber center, and wool winding that meets the standard performance specifications for high school play.
USSSA Baseballs carry the USSSA certification stamp and are required for USSSA-sanctioned travel baseball tournaments and league games. USSSA balls must meet the 1.15 BPF performance standard for the ball itself, separate from the bat standard. Buying the correct USSSA-stamped ball for tournament play is not optional.
Recreational Baseballs are used for backyard play, pickup games, practice sessions where certified game balls are not required, and youth leagues with lower budget requirements. These balls are typically leather or synthetic cover with a rubber center and are priced for purchase by the bucket or large bag without breaking the budget.
Training Baseballs are built for machine use and drill work. They hold up through thousands of machine pitches without the rapid wear that game balls experience. Polyurethane training balls, reduced impact foam balls, and dimple balls for pitching machines are all in this section. Using training balls for machine work extends the life of both the balls and the machine's wheel system.
Collectible Baseballs cover display balls, autograph balls, and commemorative editions. These are not built for game use but for display, gifting, and collecting.
Buying in Quantity
A high school team playing a full varsity schedule typically needs 10 to 15 dozen game balls per season. Travel ball teams attending multiple tournaments per year go through a similar volume. Buying by the case reduces the per-ball cost significantly. Contact us for league and bulk pricing on large quantity orders.
