The stacked memory foam in the ab area absorbs ball rebound on blocked pitches and keeps them close so runners cannot advance on balls in the dirt, giving your young catcher a tangible advantage every time they block. The heavy-duty black-coated steel inset waist clip locks the waist fit in place without loosening or tightening during play, so the protector stays exactly where you set it from the first pitch to the final out without any mid-inning readjustment.
