The Easton ELITE X Intermediate Catcher's Leg Guards (ELXLGI) are NOCSAE-certified intermediate baseball leg guards built for developing catchers ages 12 to 15 who want the same elite Elite X wide-set knee protection and secure fit as the adult version in a size designed for growing players behind the plate. The wide-set knee design gives your player a larger surface area in the blocking position and allows for more explosive side-to-side movements, while the reinforced knee and thigh connection keeps the guards secure and in place as they move in and out of the catcher's squat all game long. Available at SPC Sports in three colorways -- red, navy, and royal.
The wide-set knee design provides a larger blocking surface than traditional leg guards so your player covers more area on every ball in the dirt, making it easier to keep pitches in front of them and prevent runners from advancing on blocked balls.
The reinforced knee and thigh connection locks the upper portion of the guard in place as your player moves in and out of the squat, so the guards stay properly positioned on their leg through every crouching position and pop-up without slipping or rotating.
A toe extension piece hangs down across the foot to protect the toe from errant pitches and helps your player get into a more effective blocking position, a feature shared with the adult model that gives developing intermediate catchers pro-level foot coverage behind the plate.
The triple-knee design delivers three layers of protection at the most vulnerable contact point on the lower leg, giving your player's knees full coverage from every angle on blocked balls, foul tips, and any ball that catches the edge of the guard.
The vented shell design increases airflow and breathability throughout the guard so your player's legs stay cooler and more comfortable through long games and hot summer tournament days without heat building up inside the shell.
Removable inner knee and shin pads let you adjust fit and comfort and replace worn components when needed, so you can extend the usable life of the guards through multiple seasons without having to replace the full guard.
The intermediate length covers your player's leg from knee to ankle in the right amount for catchers ages 12 to 15, giving developing travel ball and middle school players complete lower-body coverage in a guard that fits the way serious catching gear should at this level.
