• What are training baseballs used for?

  Training baseballs are built for specific drill work including pitching machine use, soft toss, batting cage repetitions, and fielding drills. They are more durable than game balls under repeated mechanical impact and cost less to replace. Polyurethane training balls and dimple balls are machine-safe. Leather practice balls are generally not recommended for pitching machine use, as they wear out the machine's wheel system faster.

• What are collectible baseballs?

  Collectible baseballs are display-quality balls used for autographs, commemorative editions, and gifts. They are not built for game use. They typically use a higher-quality leather cover and a clean white finish optimized for signing rather than performance specs. • How many baseballs does a high school team need per season?
