Champro TSP-44 ASA 12" Slowpitch Softball CSB10Y

The Champro TSP-44 ASA 12" Slowpitch Softball (CSB10Y) is an ASA/USA certified 12-inch slowpitch softball built for competitive and recreational adult slowpitch play at the USA Softball sanctioned level, delivering the .44 COR and 375 compression specifications, optic yellow leather cover, and flat red stitch seams that ASA/USA slowpitch game play requires for consistent, reliable performance with the natural grip texture and seam feel of a premium leather-covered game ball. Sold by the dozen at SPC Sports.

ASA/USA certification is the defining credential of the CSB10Y -- certified for use in USA Softball sanctioned slowpitch competition, this ball meets the official equipment standards required for competitive and recreational adult play at the ASA/USA slowpitch level where the 12-inch specification applies, giving coaches, umpires, and league officials the assurance that the game ball meets USA Softball requirements for sanctioned play. Coaches and officials should always verify current USA Softball equipment approval requirements with their specific program and governing body before game use.

The optic yellow leather cover is the premium material distinction of the CSB10Y over durahide-covered ASA/USA slowpitch options -- leather delivers the natural grip texture, surface character, and seam feel that competitive adult slowpitch players associate with a premium game ball, giving batters and fielders the traditional leather ball experience during ASA/USA sanctioned competition.

The .44 COR and 375 compression specifications are the standard performance parameters for competitive adult ASA/USA slowpitch softball -- the .44 COR provides the controlled rebound coefficient required for USA Softball sanctioned slowpitch play, while the 375 compression delivers the firm, consistent feel across every ball in the dozen that competitive slowpitch game play requires for consistent performance through a full game rotation.

The flat red stitch seams are standard for slowpitch softballs and the visual identifier for ASA/USA certified balls -- the flat seam design controls seam height to minimize wind resistance variability during the high-arc delivery trajectory of competitive slowpitch pitching, producing a more predictable and consistent flight arc than raised seams would at slowpitch delivery speeds and angles.

The solid polyurethane core maintains consistent shape, weight distribution, and compression feel through the multiple-game demands of ASA/USA adult slowpitch league play and tournament weekends, ensuring that every ball in the dozen performs the same way across a full rotation of competitive slowpitch games.

Sold by the dozen, the CSB10Y provides a full ASA/USA adult slowpitch game rotation of certified 12-inch leather softballs for competitions, batting practice, and fielding drills in a single purchase.

FAQ

How does the CSB10Y leather differ from the CSB6Y durahide ASA/USA slowpitch ball? Both are ASA/USA certified 12-inch slowpitch softballs with .44 COR, 375 compression, and flat red stitch seams for sanctioned play. The CSB10Y uses an optic yellow leather cover for natural grip texture and the traditional leather game ball feel, while the CSB6Y uses a durahide cover for all-weather durability and easy maintenance. Choose the CSB10Y for premium leather game ball performance and the CSB6Y for weather-resistant durability.

Why do slowpitch softballs use flat seams instead of raised seams? Flat seams are standard for slowpitch softballs where seam height is controlled to minimize wind resistance variability during the high-arc delivery trajectory of slowpitch pitching, producing a more predictable and consistent flight arc than raised seams would at slowpitch delivery speeds and angles.

Can the CSB10Y be used for both men’s and women’s co-ed slowpitch? Yes. The ASA/USA certified 12-inch CSB10Y is the standard competitive slowpitch ball for co-ed, men’s, and women’s adult slowpitch leagues and tournaments competing under USA Softball certification where the 12-inch specification applies. Always verify current USA Softball equipment requirements with your specific league before game use.
