The improved shell design wraps more naturally around your player's shins and knees than flat traditional designs, giving them better coverage and a more secure fit in the blocking position and a more natural profile when throwing from the knees -- a position fastpitch catchers take far more frequently than baseball catchers.
IKP+ (Inner Knee Padding Plus) is the standout feature of these leg guards -- designed specifically to reduce the pain and bruising fastpitch catchers experience on their inner knees from repeated blocking and throwing from the knees, a feature born directly from Jen Schroeder's firsthand experience and feedback from serious fastpitch catchers at every level of the game.
Neoprene back-of-knee straps reduce discomfort, rashing, and bruising behind the knee during blocking and extended crouching sessions, so your player can stay in their stance longer and block more aggressively without the back-of-knee irritation that standard straps cause over the course of a full game or tournament.
The breathable liner promotes maximum airflow throughout the inside of the guard so your player's legs stay cool and comfortable through every inning, while added shin padding delivers extra cushioning and protection along the shin where foul balls and errant pitches make the most contact.
Inner-knee padding is designed specifically for throwing from the knees, providing cushioning and support exactly where it is needed most during one of the most repeated and physically demanding movements in the fastpitch catching position.
