Most recreational league players perform better with a balanced bat. Competitive league players often prefer end-loaded models.

• Are composite slowpitch bats better than alloy?

  Most competitive slowpitch players prefer composite because it provides a larger sweet spot, more barrel flex, and higher exit speeds after proper break-in. Alloy bats are better suited to cold weather (below 60 degrees Fahrenheit) and are ready to perform immediately without break-in.
