The Easton ELITE X Adult Catcher's Leg Guards (ELXLGA) are 16.5-inch NOCSAE-certified adult baseball leg guards built for high school, college, and adult catchers ages 15 and up who want maximum lower-body protection, explosive mobility in the blocking position, and a secure fit that holds up through every squat and pop-up behind the plate. The wide-set knee design gives you a larger surface area in the blocking position and allows for more explosive side-to-side movements than narrower traditional designs, while the reinforced knee and thigh connection keeps the guards secure and in place as you move in and out of the catcher's squat all game long. Available at SPC Sports in four colorways -- black, red, navy, and royal.
The wide-set knee design provides a larger blocking surface than traditional leg guards so you cover more area on every ball in the dirt, making it easier to keep pitches in front of you and prevent runners from advancing on blocked balls.
The reinforced knee and thigh connection locks the upper portion of the guard in place as you move in and out of the squat, so the guards stay properly positioned on your leg through every crouching position and pop-up without slipping or rotating.
The toe extension piece hangs down across the foot to protect your toe from errant pitches and helps you get into a more effective blocking position, a feature exclusive to the adult model that serious catchers at the high school and adult level will immediately notice and appreciate.
